There’s a continuum between “trade secret” and open-source.
And I put thought leadership closer to the #opensource side of the continuum.
💡Ideas have a network effect.
They gain in value when more people:
👀 see them
🛠️ put them to use for themselves
Similar to open-source software, thought leadership can support healthy business models.
You can give away smart ideas and still do well financially.
That’s why most thought leadership needs to be ungated.
